How We Multiplied - Session 3
A STUDY OF ACTS
How to use this Bible Study
If you are in a group: Complete the sections that have a white background together. The sections with a peach background should be completed individually. Then come back together and talk about what you have written.
If you are doing a solo devotional: Read through and complete the journalling prompts as usual, and use the discussion questions as an additional journaling prompt.
Opening Prayer
Dear Jesus,
Please bless our time together. Give us clear minds to fully understand what You have to teach us. Thank You for always being present when two or more are gathered in Your name.
Amen
Homework Discussion
Ask one or two people to summarize the reading from the homework.
Who is Stephen speaking to in Acts 7? (Acts 7:1 & Acts 6:8-15)
What stood out to you the most about Stephen’s speech to his accusers?
In Acts 2, Peter gave a very similar sermon to the one Stephen gives in Acts 7. What is the difference in how the audience reacts to each of these sermons?
What did you observe in Isaiah 53? Did you find any portions of this passage that seemed to point to Jesus?
-
It is easy to spend your entire discussion time on the questions above. Make sure you leave 15 minutes towards the end of your meeting time to complete the reading below and additional discussion questions.
Read Aloud Together
Assign one person to read each of the following sections.
Acts 9:1-9
Acts 9:10-19
Acts 9:20-35
Acts 9:36-43
Discussion Questions
During this story Paul does a complete 180. He goes from making it his life’s mission to eliminate Christianity to becoming a Christian himself. What was the cause of his conversion?
Have you had an experience where you quickly changed sides on an issue or conflict?
In the story of Tabitha Peter raises her from the dead. Did you know that there were instances of resurrection after Jesus?
What is the purpose of the miracles in Acts?

Reminder: If sitting down with a printed Bible is not available to you in this season of life (or just this week), feel free to complete the reading using your preferred Bible app. There are also audio versions of the Bible that can be read to you. God is able to meet you wherever you are.
